Does anyone here take any allergy medication?

I have been spending a bit of time with my beloved doggie-woggle this week, and it turns out that I somehow am now allergic to dogs....
(I wasn't before!)

I went to Tescos and bought some Benadryl Allergy Relief (With the active ingrediant Acrivastine).

Now these tablets MAY make you drowsy, but the effect they have on me is making me wide awake, to the point that I don't get any sleep at all that night if I take one in the daytime.

In fact, there is more, if the effect I get from them was any better, they would probably have a street value.

It does work by they way, does the trick perfectly, but the side effects it gives me are quite worrying, bearing in mind that it is not at all unpleasant, I reckon it would be quite easy to get hooked on them. (!)

I know that sounds mad, but they do have quite an effect.

For all I know, the way I feel when I take them may well be normal, and I just feel different when I don't take them cos I am allergic to something....

Does anyone else take this stuff? and is it normal for this medicine to have this sort of effect?

I found that when I took those, they pretty much had the same effect on me.

I no longer take them. They didn't actually sort out my hayfever, but they did sort out my fur allergy.

er... back soon... jus' popping down t'chemists........
