Oh my, I love that southern drawl accent, I could listen to it all day.

I sometimes listen to certain online radio/police stations from America, (don't know if the sites are legal hence I won't post in open chat).

but I sit there sometimes just very much enjoying it Smile

Vicky, that is more than likely due to the untrained hear, I come from Lancashire and now live in Kent, and people say to me I know where your from, and they say your from Yorkshire.

I have ask friends down here do I sound like I am from Yorkshire and they yeah you do, again it's the untrained hear.

I know both Lancashire and Yorkshire have a similar dialect, but the accents are somewhat different

Well, I am French/Italian, so none of these accents charm me. I love the Irish accent, and even London accent !

I'm proud of my accent

I'm a half breed, half Southern Irish and half South African (please don't ask me how that happened, even I don't know). I have been mistaken for: Italian, Columbian, Welsh (no offence but geez!!!), German, Scottish, Canadian, Russian, and an Aussie...

Remember people half Irish half South African...apparently I sound quite sexy!!! It is a good talking point anyway I know that

I would have responded with two words.

first one starts with F, the second with O.

I used to do a lot of telephone work and got told more than once that I sounded like Mark Owen from Take That, but I would summerise my accent as standard northern, dunno really bit of manchester mixed in with Oldham LOL
