I know there was a thread asking what accent people thought was the sexiest, but I often find myself wondering what accent the members themselves have...how they would describe it. I guess sometimes its human nature to assume that the location that the person has listed as their own would match their accent, but obviously this is often not the case. For instance, my location is Essex, but I'm obviously not an essex boy.

Having been born and raised in New Zealand, but having lived in Iceland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Russia, Croatia and England amongst others...somehow my accent has come out sounding South African.

How would you describe your accent?

I have a pure Nottingham accent. Nothing special to it. Pretty boring, really!

I moved around Ireland alot when I was younger and have picked up many accents. Depends on what I'm doing really. If I'm in a rush I have a real nothern accent and if I'm out with mates drinking I sound like I'm from Dublin. Pretty confusing really!!!!

When I say Nottingham accent, I don't mean the chav-like 'innit' talk, either, which a lot of people here have adopted!

I don't say " 'ey up me duck" either..that's a nottinghamshire thing, apparently.

Well my Yorkshire accent has more or less come back now. I've lived in Liverpool and every so often I'll say something and think how scouse it sounded. I was told when I came back from 3 years in Amsterdam I sounded 'foreign'
And I had a customer on the phone the other day who said I sound just like Sarah Cox (I don't see it!)
