In honour of Curraghmore gracing us with her presence briefly tonight, I thought I'd revive this thread.

OK, it's not 2.30, but I can't be arsed looking for the thread later (it took ages to find!). And besdies, at 2.30 I shall either out walking the dog or masturbating furiously whilst watching the weather lady on BBC News 24

As regular as clockwork, at 2.20am the dog jumped off the armchair, hobbled over to me and sat staring at me, waiting for me to put my shoes on. She knows damn well that if we go at 2.20 I’m going to miss the cute weather lady at 2.30. Luckily for me it was bloody freezing outside, and she wouldn't go out anyway, so she dragged a sleeping bag onto the sofa and wrapped herself up in it.

I am sitting here scoffing a box of Heroes (the Celebrations are long gone). I still haven’t eaten; the chicken fillets are sizzling in the wok. I think I’ll put some of that second bottle of wine in with the chicken.

/* note to self – the chicken fillets remind me, why doesn’t my bra fit as well as it used to? */

You didn't really expect anything cohesive at this time of night, did you?

Rather like some juvenile ejeculations, my 2.30 howl is somewhat premature. But today has been a little overwhelming, and the combination of outrageously flirtatious text messages during the day and Raquel Welch jiggling around in her poncho (Hannie Caulder, 1971, ITV4) at this time of night is proving a little too much for me.

Had i been able to log in last night i would have been able to join you all. Apparently i am not the only one with sleeping issues at the moment. Some of us have a case of lupus and i need to find my earplugs.

Oh dear, it’s almost that time again……..

…..but I need to go to bed and won’t be around at 2.30 so I’ll wish you all a good night and a wonderful weekend now. I was going to deputise someone to do the ritual 2.30 nightly howl over the weekend (whilst I pursue more romantic and/or sexually gratifying avenues) but I can’t be arsed. No doubt there will a willing, drunken or frenzied attack on a keyboard in my stead.

Cor, is that the time already? I meant to go to bed ages ago, but got distracted with a ferret and conversations of sensual finger strokes, gentle kissing of necks, Minstrels, Barrys Irish Tea, kissable lips and cranberry juice (and other wondrous delights). I’m not really sure how I’m supposed to sleep with some of those thoughts tumbling in my mind…..

Ah, the night has gradually dwindled to to the howling hour again.......

No that I have anything to say, but I'm sure I can fill a few lines with inane drivel.....

Recycled ramblings for a rather weary 2.30 howl (I really should just revive my blog, shouldn’t I?)

For those of you who have an interest in such things, the contents of this weeks organic veg box from Riverford Farm (medium box, £12.75), delivered to your door:

sweet mama squash
onions
carrots
parsnips
sante potatoes
leeks
mushrooms
purple sprouting broccoli
cauliflower
spring greens

For those of you who have no interest in the veg box, I tipped my computer keyboard upside down and gave it couple of whacks. The contents of my computer keyboard were:

tobacco crumbs (nearly enough for a whole cigarette)
soil from a plant that I have on my desk (but don’t know what it is called)
cigarette ash (enough to cause me great concern about the placement of the ashtray on the desk - after much deliberation, now on the left hand side of the keyboard)

And for those of you who have no interest in any of the above, here are 2 photos of St Ives, showing the harbour at high and low tide (obviously not taken on the same day):
