2, 6 and 7 are appropriate to this forum

Post count is part of the problem but the rest is all about the users or lack of posting rules, there is nothing stopping people from ballooning up threads 5 pages per hour based on something as trivial as a "hey all thread".

Staying on topic seems to be another major issue here, threads that have been answered on the first page seem to continue just for the sake of posting count, Also don’t bother posting anything serious because the answers will be as useful in real life situations as a scat flavoured breath freshener.

Are we expected to be bothered whether you care or not?
If you 'misclicked' then how unfortunate but really there are plenty of other forums where 2,6 & 7 may not be such a problem Rolling Eyes

The only real problems i see on here are the trolls and fights, but even they usually disipitate after a while. It can on occasions get cliquey, but not enough for it to be a real problem. It's only natural that people will gravitate towards some posters and not others.

Other than that, if someone doesn't like the running of a forum when the majority are happy with it, the best thing is to go find one that suits you.

Seemed like a handy list to me.

I agree with OP about that mods could be stricter. By that I mean delete crap posts in Helpdesk etc.
But then I come from Boards which is a massive forum and has several thousands of users and loads of moderators. The policy there must of course be stricter.

It is also somewhat clicky (same 15 users make 80% of the posts) but then that's normal for a small forum like this (I mean UK only now).

Don't think these are particularly serious issues but it may cause some users to stop coming here. In my short time here I seen a fair bit of friendly slagging but also a bit of abuse.

Anyway, my 2 cents

Okay update time, whoever voted the last answer congrats, I do care about one or two.

Aradon you are correct, this was flame bait, thanks for not locking it.

missme7: Glad to see I was wrong about you, I thought you we’re just the kind of person who called a spade and spade but your not, you’re a grade A top choice bovine cow. I wonder what happened in your life to make you such a biter person.

Redoctober: you bring up a valid point about gravitating toward certain posters unfortunately when it comes to greeting new users the vast majority of you say "welcome" then go out of your way to make them feel as unwelcome as possible. If it wasn’t for the fact that I find Carrie attractive the third or forth time I saw this done to some random guy/girl would have spelt the end for me.

Cazzabee: you certainly do Carrie and for what its worth I hope you nothing but good things, you are confusion incarnate to me but you’ve always been nice and polite, if a little stand off-ish. Sorry about the second message on plenty of fish, it might have come across as asking for a date but at the time I would have been happy just to have a friend to talk to, I was going though a rough patch that I won’t dredge up here.

Came out the other side okay, if a little less nice or tolerant.

scottie69: haunting.

ChiefOHara: Can’t really disparage you in any way, your posts are insightful, courteous, and to the point. In fact I think this is the shortest post I’ve ever seen you make.

Tabletop: I don’t mind 80% of the posts coming from 15 users but mostly they post completely irrelevant mind numbing drivel, the anything else forum is full of threads filled with smile face answers to mildly humorous comments.

*The quote button should only quote one person, not the entire quote history.
*The page number links shouldn’t screw up under any circumstances.
*Post count should be profile only not prominently displayed like a badge of honour.

PS ChiefOHara’s message to you as well, I don’t recall seeing much mindless drivel posted by you.

For all you regulars that didn’t bother to post, your tradition of only posting in meaningless crap threads is safe. Continue on your merry way, I’m sure someone will create a thread of foot rashes you can post 15 smilie faces into and not seem like an idiot.

I’ll be back in a few days to check up you guys, right now I’m off to see a guy about hiring a Rodeo Bull for a stag night.
