So Tomorrows World ran for years on BBC1 (I think they're bringing it back too) but what I want to know is this - Where's the flying car I should be driving around in? And what happened to that moonbase and space hotel? And why haven't I got a robot/android serving me at home etc?

I blame budget cuts and expensive wars...

A band called The Tinklers used to do a song called "The Future Is Not As Good As It Used To Be" which included lines like "Monorails above the city I was gonna love to ride, tiny pills that you pop in your mouth with a 16 inch pizza inside, jet-powered packs that you strap on your back and zip off into the sky" and so on. It was daft. They were a daft band.

As for TW, they should release highlights on DVD
