Would you give up male or female friends just to please a partner? Even if one of them was a ex?

Not if it was purely because of jealousy...maybe for other reasons.

I might give them a wide birth for a short while until things/matters where sorted/settled with my partner, but I would not give them up.

I’ve never stayed friends with an ex as its always going to cause problems with my next relationship. Clean breaks makes things a lot easier and stops all those “are they really only just friends “ questions being raised. Male or Female friends I wouldn’t give up.

That's exactly what I thought 20 years ago, but now I consider I haven't got any friends...loads of mates, some I've known from school, but no friends. I suspect most of my mates will say the same.

Well of course I have people I consider mates as well but I also have those I consider true friends who I know will be there for me through thick and thin but whether they are real friends or just mates I still wouldnt give them up for any relationship without just cause i.e they tried it on with my man etc
