Oh man, one of my wisdom teeth are coming through with it just being a matter of a couple of hours from the pain in the back of my gum to the tooth actually popping out of my gum (not breaking from the gum yet though, just a massive painful bump) Is there anything out there that soothes the pain so that its not gonna keep me up all night or does anyone have any advice? thanks!x

About the only thing you can do is take some paracetamol, maybe get something like bonjela in the morning to sooth the pain

Rub whiskey into the gum. That's what we did for our kids when they were babies, and my mum, and my mothers mum, and her mother's mum.....!

I must be so lucky - like my dad the only wisdom tooth that ever came through was under the tooth next to it so it was cut out before it grew through, had xrays and the other 3 simply don't exist!

If you dont have any whiskey, have you got any cloves? cloves are a natural antiseptic, especially good for gums/teeth - taste horrid though!

Wisdom teeth are a right bastard, I didn't get any of mine come through til I was about 32, then three started coming through at once. It was bloody agony, couldn't eat or move my mouth properly or anything. One I had out in the dentist's chair, cos I'm hard, the other two came through ok and are fine now.

oh no i can't involve a dentist, no way ho zay !! i'd have to be sedated before a dentist goes near me and full of drugs

I've got all of my wisdom teeth and I remember they hurt a bit coming. One of them is actually poking through on its side!

I suggest having the hottest mexican dish going. Its antiseptic, chilli reduces inflamation, and you'll be too busy drinking water and shitting to notice your teeth.

heya, go to the chemist and ask for PARAMOL there wicked take three at a time, that will do the trick, did for me!!!

3 paracetamol, what a good idea. That way, your wisdom teeth wont feel like they hurt at all, compared to the agony of your kidneys being pickled!

Paracetomol are wank, though. If you're in real pain and want something decent, you want something with codeine in it. Ask at the chemist or order online.

Any doctors around to settle this?
