you could get her a cd or something, dvd? nothing too extravagant, its like your trying to impress her to like you more if you go out and spend that much on her birthday so early on. flowers and cd would be my max lol Laughing

Yeah, I think the majority is right .. I wanted to do something nice for her, but a weekend away does seem a lot at this stage when i think about it. I'm glad I asked now ..

I'm gonna just book a night out at a restaurant. I've spoken to her, asking if she has plans and she doesn't, so that seems the best thing.

thx for the advice, folks..

peace out ..

:>

Teddy bears are for people who are 12 and under.

depends which teddy you send in - the lace one or the fluffy one.

flowers are important.
men cant usually say long important words at times like that - flowers say all that.

just be a gent and shower her with attention, and a wee gift deciphered from her major likes - music is a good bet, so are movies - or something she holds a soft spot for

i think u sould supprise her with flowers when u pick her up then take her for a meal and during the meal give her, her gift like a nice pair of earings or a bracelet or somethin

woh there, calm down, it's only been 2 weeks. I'm no fountain of knowledge here but a nice meal out, nothing too formal and a few beers, no gifts. Wise move binning the dirty weekend idea at this stage.

That's OK, I wasn't going to send you one

Hey, gifts are down to personal taste and choice (some people don't have any taste when it comes to tat, you can give them anything). Which means don't buy something personal for someone you've only known for 2 weeks, you don't know them well enough to buy anything personal (even CD's or DVD's). Flowers are a nice gift, but, like a CD, it doesn't take much effort to go and buy them. If someone was buying me something as a gift, I'd rather have something that someone either put some thought into, or some effort.

On a lighter note, I got sent a balloon and a teddy in a box once, a teddy might be for people under 12, but it was what the other person wanted to send, and it took a lot of effort on her part, so I appreciated it more than the other crap I got for my birthday (even though i didn't want a teddy Laughing )

It isn't WHAT you get that counts, it's how much thought and effort went into it, whether it is flowers, a meal, a CD (or even a teddy)
