what do you do when you can't forget someone no matter how hard you try and no matter how long it's been since you were with them? how do you stop yourself thinking of them when a certain song comes on, or when you read a stupid inane sentence in a book, or think of nothing at all and *Poof* there they are, invading your thoughts again, like some sort of crazed, half demon, half god terrorist, hell bent on making you remember what was....and what is, no more? you still have their number in your phone and you JUST CAN'T delete it!! you want to...but just can't bring yourself to push the yes button when it asks you if you're sure you want to delete the contact. you can still hear them laughing, whispering and breathing in your ear even in the middle of rush hour traffic. and most of all, when you're alone, with nothing to do and nobody to talk to....... you can still feel thier fingers dance along your spine, their breath on your face, their lips on your skin and their heart beating in time to your own.

what do you do then?

You have my sympathy, i used to have the same problem with my first love until she did something horrible to me. The bitterness from that cured me right quick i can tell you.

The secret i think is to replace a lonely thought with a good one. Instead of missing him, remember what it was that attracted him to you. Was it how good you looked that day, what you wore, what you said, what he said about you. Try and turn this invasive thought from a lonely, and missing him one, into an ego boost for you.

Fecks sake AP your gorgeous and you know it, turn the brooding on its head and use it to feel good about yourself.

you ask yourself do i want to feel like this for the rest of my life?

answer yes.....keep doing all the above.

answer no? delete the number, force yourself! give yourself a kick up the arse, hook up with some old friends, find new interests to spend your time learning, you reinvent yourself, a new and more dynamic person, better for the experience and stronger for the pain. easier said than done, but totally 100% possible.

Bless you hunny, I understand, It must be really difficult. You'll pull through, you're made of tougher stuff. The things that remind you of that person will perhaps always be there, and when a certain song comes on it will probably always remind you of him, it is not that easy to block someone out. But eventually you will get past this, just don't try and rush yourself - you will get over him when you feel you are ready to and not before.
When you do, I am sure there will be someone new to share songs, jokes and special moments with. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I still think of my ex from time to time from about 9 years ago...still plays on my mind at the most random moments...dont think it ever goes away if you have had that deep feelings for someone...There will always be little things in life that will remind you of them but they do begin to happen less with time

Delete the friggin' number and move on. No point living in the past, if you do you'll never move forward with the future.

Failing that call him and offer him a hot night of bum love fun.
