What tosh! My first boyfriend was so shy, he would blush if he thought someone was looking at him, until you got to know him, then he relaxed and was trying to drag me onto the dredded stage. He never could talk to girls he didnt know. I think its not about chessy lines either, one of the best dates i ever went on, was when a lad came up to me said sorry gave me apiece of paper and bolted! it was just his phone number, and i text him to say thank you. We dated for months until he got posted to italy. My not ex but feels like ex was very shy, we met through friends and once we got over the shyness, we were incredible together, and we were incredible together for years.
I would take a shy guy over a loud mouth everytime, its just the same as; some women want dark hair etc, the biggest prob is, that shy girls arnt normally in pubs or expecting to meet someone, and hence possibly dont even look!

Being shy isn't necessarily a bad thing - I'm notoriously shy and quiet myself... in certain situations. You just need to make it work for you. As long as you're yourself and not putting on an act - like the mouse pretending to be the lion - then you can make inroads with a lady. Take things slowly. Be yourself and feel natural. Listen to what they have to say - for some women that can be a huge bonus, rather than the man who juggles and rides a unicycle to grab someone's attention. When you feel comfortable with someone, your confidence will naturally rise. The most important thing is to just enjoy yourself.

Asking questions and listening works. It means that you don't have to have too much input, unless of, you're asked a question in turn. But you can always answer that with another question I suppose...

Separate in your mind 'confidence', 'shyness' and 'introversion'.
