Hmmmm... HMMMMMMMMM... Razz I searched a bit, couldn't find this, erase it if it ain't cool.

Let's see...

My perfect first date things to say/do would be:

Go to a place which is nice like a coffee shop with comfy chairs and good coffee.
Go to an amusement park (I'll always associate you with the fun I had, unless you're a total nerd with pimples nd bad breath Razz If so, you can always be my brother Laughing).
I hate regular parks as date places, so if you're just a regular guy and not Tom Cruise's identical twin (and if we don't share huge lusts for one another), don't go there. Razz
If you get a feeling I like you, try catchin' my hand. If I'm not lettin yours go then you can be sure you're 1/4 way there. Razz HIHI. And if you caught my hand and I'm not lettin yours go, somewhere soon would be the rite time for a kiss. Razz But if I don't catch your hand again (or let yours go if you catch mine) after the kiss... Well that isn't good. Razz LOL (GOSH, I'm mean)

What else? I know I shouldn't've started this freakin topic. But I lurve talkin bout myself. PMSL Razz And it's all BAggie's fault cause he made me write on the "what you wouldn't say topic" so that's how the bright idea of this new topic came up. Razz

Being polite is a HUGE HUGE PLUS. AS POLITE AS you can. Razz However that comes to contraddiction with my love for the bad boys... But you can be a bad boy and polite at the same time, like for example... After you... BIATCh. PMSL. Kiddin, HIHIHIHIHI. Razz

Another good thing is communication. Talk, talk, don't just sit there lookin' at me. Do somethin', move, talk, move, talk. Nobody wants to be the date of a ghost. Razz

Feel free to compliment the person you're dating, but don't exaggerate. Razz

Enough for now, I'll be back very soon with more details. Razz

my main plan/advice for a first date is to go somewhere a bit quiet. that way you can chat without shouting. make sure i don't drone on to much about myself, be interested in what your date has to say, try to engage them in conversation on topics their happy/knowledgable about, with out making them feel like they are on a quiz show. don't drink to much, not just the drunk thing but regular trips to the toilet ain't great. and my number one tip is wear good shoes Very Happy

If you weren't expecting the lil' fella to come out, "he's having a bad day".

Some of these dating ideas sound like something from a 1990's rom-com. We're narrowly missing out on sharing a milkshake with 2 straws in, eating spaghetti from a bowl and finishing on the same strand.
Here's a weird first date idea. I did this once and it was a scream!
Try going to Ikea! There are so many fun and stupid things to play with. You can get some practical shopping done if your date is boring. Plus 99p for a hotdog is just so right!
Meeting a first date for coffee is intense.
It's like a job interview.
I find I always have one of those staring into space moments.
Still, it seems to be considered the industry standard first date!
Making polite conversation about what you like and dislike isn't half as fun as having a pillow fight!

Good idea Samtron, i like the idea of doing an 'activity' one the date as opposed to sitting down at a table expecting the atmosphere to be relaxed. It can be quite relaxed, but i think this idea of an activity whilst on a date kind of shifts the emphasis and would feel more comfortable and less like an interview as you say. I would be all for that kind of date.

Can I say somethin mean? (meaning I'm just gonna be mean for no reason, cause what you guys said is alrite - action is cool Razz)

Here goes:

I thought your date was supposed to be someone you actually like so you'd probably wanna sit down and grab more of them, not shop for furniture and buy food less expensive than McDonalds (which by the way totally sux). ;p
As for me, I'd rather go and have a date with myself and some nice coffee, than have someone drag me to some plastic-like chairs for a sleazy hot dog. Razz

p.s. Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against Ikea (LOVE IT) and cheap dates (starbucks rules), but I had to say those things. Very Happy Just my opinion.
