Yes you should inform them about your child if it was the other way wouldn't you want to know about their kids it is a part of them and in the right relationship it's about honesty and sharing responsabilty and if they have a problem with that they aren't as nice as they make out (sorry if I'm being to blunt)

When or if I decide to settle down I'd probably be happy with a woman with a couple of smallish kids. As long as she told me, and their wasn't too much baggage with a previous partner.
