I have just recently decided once again to try and stop smoking. I did get Zyban (the pill thing) from the doctor which disagreed with me and gave me very very bad stomach pains. Ive now got a doctors prescription for patches in which i get a months worth for the price of a prescription so maybe could be worth some of you trying to stop to have a little trip to the docs and see what he can do for you

it is more to do with will to quite.

agreed. I couldn't have done it if I wasn't really in the right frame of mind.

as for patches, they deal with the physical addiction but force you to go cold turkey on the psychological addiction of sparking up at all your favorite times. Why not go cold turkey on the physical addiction and allow yourself more time to deal with the physical actions of sparking up - there's herbal tobacco about with no nicotine in it at all.

My mate had Uba Gold for a while but that was disgusting, there are others about, I've just heard there's a hemp one - and as its legal its obviously not going to improve your enjoyment of Dark Side Of The Moon Razz just give your fingers something to do. And nothing to stop you adding a little something to begin with and cutting that down, be it a tiny bit of tobacco or whatever else. And keep a diary, every day you have a bit less its a buzz!

And you do eventually start forgetting about it, I know that sounds pretty unbelievable but its true

Hmm I got the opposite! An increase in blood pressure is normal for the first week or so...
