If Miss Cork Legs has any sense (and I'm sure she has), she will be waiting til you've gone to open the tin.. and have sole control of the remote (as the pleasure is ohhh soooo much better when in a relationship).

I too am happy not to be single and happy to share my Quality Street with DH on condition that ANY reality television is NOT on our televisions, be it at mine or his!
I'm not sure I qualify in any way to offer advice to anyone who wishes not to be single, but will say keep looking! I was single for nearly three years before March and found love in a place I'd never looked before. (A dating site, though not this one, but that doesn't mean to say this one won't work.) If you've looked on sites and had no luck, then maybe you should be looking elsewhere as I did! Try something new to get someone new! Just a thought!
(Glad 'he's' only noticed the QS and not the Roses too!)

Miss Cork Legs’ idea of ‘looking elsewhere ‘ and ‘Try something new to get someone new’ means that she broadened her horizons a little, by increasing the age range she might consider as suitable for herself (um, some people might say she lowered her standards
)
Oh, and I think my funny profile helped a bit too. And her friends nagging her to contact me. Ah, let’s face it, I’m not a perfect catch, but then again my problems are mostly money related and I try my best with everything else. At the end of the day (what a terrible cliché!), she could have done a lot worse
(Or a lot better?)
The nuts and bolts of being single:
It’s not so bad being single. But it’s bloody awful being single if you don’t want to be single.

Yeah i'm not so sure its as simple as that. I for example like being single and am not after a relationship but I do crave regular love and intimacy which usually would only be possible in a relationship.

Either that means you simply want your cake and eat it too (another pathetic cliche!) or in the past you have had relationships that stifled your need for your own space?
Depends on what you equate constitutes a relationship - and being single - I guess?

I guess, in some ways, that's why I said 'the nuts and bolts of being single' (meaning the basics of being single) - I'm sure that everyone has their own individual add-ons
As mentioned in a previous post in theis thread, in the past I too have been in the situation where I have been 'single' and craved the regular love and intimacy that usually only comes with a relationship, but have been lucky that I have had female friends that have wanted the same thing. I'm not sure I'd class it as 'having my cake and eating it' (as Alice puts it); probably more a case of each baking a cake and sharing it with someone else when it was too big to eat by oneself.

I believe that if you dont look then you will find someone. You could find someone on here. Just stay positive. There is a good reason for everything that happens good luck x

I've never been happy to be single, I just don't like it. That said, although some years back I struggled to be happy being single these days I'm generally all right.
I think that if you can come to terms with yourself whilst you're single you are in a much better position to find someone and once you do you'll be much better off because you will know what you want and hopefully not take any *** along the way

| Maybe going to bars, where you know there are women, and not drinking alcohol may be the answer. Being sober may be enough to distinguish yourself from the other men there.
You could use the time to read a broadsheet ... |
Question is, which kills more brain cells? Alocohol or the Daily mail?
