well first off you need to talk to a professional, i would say make a apt with your docs and explain how you feel.. cos you need to find out whats triggering these feelings, it could be something really simple, or really hard but you need to get to the route of the problem

also what do you think will happen while your in a mental ward.. well yes you will speak to someone trained, but you can do that now..
you will be spending time with people who are actually crazy, and how do you think that will make you feel..
well actually cos you'll be so doped up you prob wont feel anything..

going into a mental ward could actually hinder you alot, with getting jobs, even meeting people..

im not trying to scare you, but i want you to think of other options as you have quite a few Very Happy

mental wards have good and bad points, i was in a place called oakham house from 10 to 15, it can be good becuase you will get day trips and alot of people will help, but it can be bad becuase some of the sights you wil see wil not be pretty,

if you say you are extremly shy like me they can get you in a private room like me which will help becuase its less scary at first, if you get in there and you try to release yourself if a doctor or nurse says no, DO NOT TRY TO GO, you will get sectioned,

This is going to sound so patronising Boxy, but believe me I've been there. Your age does have a fair bit to do with it.

Violet has some valid points in her post. If the down days are that bad, talk to your doctor. How well do you get on with your parents or any other member of family? If you can talk to someone close, all the better. Maybe they'll come with you to the docs.

And you've always got the option of talking to us lot. We old fogeys were all younger once Wink

I can't say that I my age I no longer have days like you do, but most of the time I've learnt how to deal with them somehow or other. Wish I still had the days where I used to giggle uncontrollably and dance down the street with my mates

The hardest part is dealt with, admitting you have a problem

I was in the same boat and didnt admit I had a problem, which is why i ended up trying to kill myself, then ending up in prison.

See your doctor ASAP

If you sign yourself in, you are able to sign yourself out, rather than having a doc sing you in, otherwise its takes something like 4 docs to sign you out, 3 months at a time the stay is.

Ive been in this position, as I suspect many people have, I ignore it for years, now Im on happy pills and it takes the edge off things quite nicely.

One things for sure though, speak to your gp - openly and honestly. Its very hard to do but worth it

x

Boxy, if you read this far, please don't despair. In house fighting is normal... yeah, even the so-called adults among us fall out and have petty fights, myself included

Hnag in there and if things do get bad enough and you're worried that coming in here won't help, pm someone. Most of us are approachable and have been in a similar situation to yours at sometime. I can't guarantee we've made it unscathed, but we're still here to tell the tale.

ps ask Pirrak who is safe to talk to if you're not sure. He's a great lad and not short of some good advise himself.

have you discuss these feelings with a professional yet?i think maybe you need to sit down with someone you trust and open yourself up and air out these feelings.like a lot of people have said life is what you make it,so don't sell yourself too short by admitting yourself to the ward just yet.i'm sure that the opinions you get will help you to decide what is best for you.you are a beautiful young woman, why would you want to kill yourself?you have a great life ahead of you so why not enjoy it while it lasts.

hi there..before you do anything drastic, please consider counselling, but make sure you are comfortable with that person, if you are not, then try another..but do try counselling..
Basically you need someone to talk too, an impartial non-judgemntal person..(could also try various helplines too)..

the fact that you want to dance yourself silly at the moment is good..lol (unless this is drug induced!) ..

anyway, all the best..
