I watch football streams of sky sports on the net most weeks free, they are fairly easy to find. You can find other satellite programmes, but they are not easy mainly because there is not the market for them.

e.g http://www.myp2p.eu/Weekdays.htm

Is that what you mean ??

Right, to receive normal TV as you probably know you need an aerial to capture the signal. Your TV will have a built in decoder to display the signal on intself.

For normal satellite TV, you need a dish to capture the signal and a decoder box to convert the signal to a format that the PC understands.

The method for getting either normal TV or satellite TV on your PC is pretty much the same. You computer has neither capability so you can go about it a couple of ways.

For normal TV, by a TV card. Don't skimp because the cheapy stuff will be poor - I had one that picked up interference from other components and put wavey lines across the screen so it wasn't very useful. The TV card takes the place of the decoder built into the TV.

For satellite, you have two options. Cheap but not so good quality. If you already have a decoder box for your TV, buy a TV card and route the signal from the decoder to that.

The more expensive but far superior option is to buy a dedicated satellite pc card. I believe the SkyStar2 is the most popular choice for european satellite. This would effectively mean you plug the cable from the dish into the back of your PC and have access to all the satellite features from your PC.

Any decent card should come with the appropriate software to use with your computer.

Probably how to receive satellite programmes on you PC without a dish.
These people get access to [steal] streams from satellite companies.

There are various Satellite receiver boxes out there that have a network socket in them, where you are able to stream the signal out to the net with.

If you have the same type of box and the IP of the user with another one you can watch his tv/hdd recordings etc.

The best box for this is called a Dream Box.
