Hey all,

My little dilemma at present...

Amongst other things at university, there are a lot of women...as we all know! Well, I'm having a bit of a dilemma, as for a little while I have been out of a relationship, about 4 months, which I seem to coping fine with now as I'm at peace with myself about it all...what I need is advice about this girl at uni?

I don't call her by name as I don't know it...lol! (This is why I need advice)
We sit relatively close in lecture, me with my friends and of course she is with hers, but everytime we glance around the lecture hall or in the smaller classrooms, we always have eye contact and this usually in every lecture now.

My instinct tells me to smile at her and if she smiles back that is positive and if she doesn't maybe I'm imagining it all???

What I would like from you people is...how do I appraoch her and start the whole thing off...I want to be friends first before diving into anything serious...so it's gotta be a nice move or gesture that suggests friendship but let's see how things happen for the future.

Any ideas????

Cheers

Mike

first of all, Happy New Year Mike! Why don't u try smiling at her when ur eyes meet. then if she smiles back, walk over after the lecture and ask her something about the lecture or make a comment about it. great ice breaker. then take it from there

Sure smile back! Then try approaching her when her friends are not about and ask her out for a drink or something.

Simalar thing happened to me in my first year at uni, the smiling etc, the guy was really shy so eventually I made the first move but not because I fancied him there was just something about him, and still today he is one of my best friends... just go for it you have nothing to lose........good luck Mike

You go up to her after class and ask about something the teacher said. She will know it's a made up excuse but will, hopefully, be glad you approached her. Then just keep chatting for a while, ask her name and what she thinks of the class... Let's go for coffee if you have the time? Any plans for the weekend? How was her holidays? etc etc

Tell all your mates to scive a lecture and ask if you can sit with her/her mates as they're all being slack. Then start playing naughts and crosses or something..hey you could even play hangman with your phone number as the answer and conveniently leave it with her.

Oh wait, hangman is with letters..damn!
