ok well i suffer from psoriasis and well ok now i have this it is putting lasses off me.
well i suffer really badly from it i am covered from head to foot and i wont say where else because i dont want to make as complete pratt of myself,
well just because i have it i have had people say oh i aint touching you or not dating you because you have that and i am like gee thanks am i a freak now, it gets me down and i start questioning my own image, might as well be honest yes i sit and cry sometimes becasue it makes me feel like crap and well i have tried treatments and some goes but then it just comes back.
so any way of trying to get rid without having to resort to stupid mesures to get rid.
i know some girls are judgemental but it shouldnt be what i look like on the outside should be my personality.
anyways i dont know if anyone will reply and i know i might get people being horrible but at the end of the day looking to find someone special and i just get the feeling i now wont cos i have posted this.

I would make fun of you but I really can't be bothered, and you seem like you'd take it to heart, which wouldn;t be my intention, so I won't.
First advice is don't take really hot baths or showers, second is (and this sounds silly, but apparently works) cover the areas affected in Oats and milk.

Unfortunately I am rather addictive to very hot showers, which can cause patches of skin to dry out, it rehydrates the skin somehow.
I got it from my sisters book on home remedies, it's also specifically mentioned under psoriasis. And I think they're supposed to be luke warm too.

One of my London friends has it quite bad at times and when he visits me he always takes a bottle of seawater home to use on his skin as he reckons it helps quite a lot.

Try: "Logona Pur Body Lotion" and "Sole Waschgel" which you can only buy in Germany or online at present:

The best thing for getting rid of it is sun! go to your docs aswell, they will prescribe a cream for it, cant remember the name of it now. Use it every morn and eve like lots of it.
I suffer from it, its a bitch, but ive had it all my life so i just get on with it now. If i dont get away to somewhere sunny in the year then i go on the sunbeds for a couple of weeks just to control it.
Dont have it bad so im quite lucky compared to some other people ive seen who have it. and most people who do have it seem to get it bad.
and the girls part? I having a feeling it could be ur lack of confidence that could be more of a turn off.
Everybody has some imperfection, just take it as part of your body. U can be almost certain the girl you are with will be insecure about some part of her body too.
anyway stressing just makes it worse, so try to relax and forget its there

My son has had it since he was a baby, he's 36 this year, the sun & sea improves it, get to the beach when you can and as missbo mentioned, do not stress as that will make it worst.
23.04.2010, 11:53 quote
well i try not to get stressed becuase i know it makes it worse....i have been to the docs about it i am on aplphasol cream and shampoo for it and also i am on some other medicated shampoo which i forgot the name of it....
i do have confidence but i guess its just that i know if they want to meet me i get very insecure becuase of it and i have never chickened out of meeting i have still gone to meet and well that goes well but when we have seperated thts when i kno they wont want to see me again, but to be honest it doesnt bother me that much when people cant see it the only way it bothers me is if say i am dating a girl and well if things get to that stage of getting intimate even tho they know i have it i just get very image conciense i dont mean to but i just do.
in relation with tanning salons i would go but my job doesnt give me much chance to go as i can work untill all times of the day.
i guess one day a girl wont b bothered by it and just like me cos of personality not my body or looks.

my brother has it really bad, at one stage they had to take him to hospital and bandage him up like a mummy for 2 weeks, and since then hes great, do you have a dermatologist that can help, because I'm sure that they will be able to tell you different medications etc, and the sun bed salons open at all different times and close really late, and with skin like yours, you only need to pop in for 2 min maximum, so you could do it in lunch break or something.
as for the women issue, yes there will be a women out there for you somewhere, my brother is getting married in August and his skin was to the point where it was bleeding all over and she stuck by him through it all, just keep looking and good luck

Sunlight definitely causes improvement (has actually been scientifically shown!). I'd also recommend voicing your concerns to your GP and see if he/she can help!

That's a brilliant idea, 'cos I've used dead sea salt skin products and they're fantastic. With the genuine stuff you can feel a dramatic difference even on the first time you use it.
