Any advice/tips on what to do? Would be appreciated xx

The site is divided into 3 main areas:
1. Flirtbox - so if you are registered, have a good photo and a good 'About Me' text - the chances are you will get some messages.
2. Chatrooms - not my cup of tea, but many use them and enjoy the banter etc. We get people regularly on the discussions complaining it's 'down' - so some people must miss it (as a community, or their friends), when it's not there!
3. Discussions - where you are now. Not too many people come here, although now and again it can get lively! You can stay and contribute!

If you go to My Flirtbox and scroll down to the bottom there are various links. The most useful - to you - would be FAQs and Search. You can search locally, or - if you urgently need a surgeon, say - you can search by profession!
If you are looking for a partner, lover, etc - don't wait for someone to message you - get searching! Check locally, look at the people online, look at the new members, check your visitors, check your inbox. The photos you use are important, the text you use is next in importance, and the first message you send to anyone is crucial. Get those right and you can't fail to meet people. You can research all of these in the discussions, because they have come up a number of times. Use the Search facility (on the RH side) to find them.

No you don't have to be a cam user to use the chatroom. You have the option of using your cam or mic on there but you can just type on there to if you want to do that.
