I may be wrong though and it could just be Nigerian scammers or I am to old to notice the progress of the English language

He's right, a lier is someone who is waiting to attack (Lies in waiting), a liar is someone who tells fibs. But the scammers are probably using it the wrong way. Since they have no good control of the English language and therefore revert to using translators which do not always translate correctly.

Lier instead of liar gets my goat but what really does my nut is when people spell "scammers" as "scrammers". Arrrrrrgh!
In general, online spelling and grammar leaves a lot to be desired but I try to refrain from pointing it out since mine is never sure to be perfect.

True, true... I wanted to point it out at one point, but the rest of what you write seemed so "clean", that I thought it must be some sort of weird thing going on with those words. LOL

You have to make allowances for us oldies
..its a mission for me to make most longish posts, and often takes me ages. My mind often goes totally blank in mid post
