ALL of the Supremes were fantastic singers, including Diana Ross. I think she is highly underated.

Yes yes yes, but who was the amazing lyricist that wrote the song? There wouldn't be any debate about singers if there were no words. In that scenario Phil would win because he's a top notch hummer.

Diana Ross sure knew what she was singing about.

Was Diana Ross the best singer in The Supremes??

Bear. Shit. Woods

Mary Wilson was, Diana Ross was a bit of a shrieker.

Florence Ballard was the best. Diana Ross is very good but I have to agree with Robin, she is a bit of a shreiker. (God, it sounds like we've both slept with her.)

What was this thread about again?

You mean you haven't?? Surprised

Holland - Dozier - Holland were the song writer's on this and many, many other classic Motown song's, and if we're on that tip, let's not forget the awseome musicians - The Funk Brothers, who layed down so many killer tracks!

LOVE Motown! Love it, love it, love it!!! Very Happy

Great writers, also after they left Motown and wrote for groups like Chairman of the board. One of my favourite records of all time was sung by them
