hello everyone!

I am quite new to this whole dating thing and I have to say that there are few ignorant ppl on this to be honest I have messaged a couple of ladies on here just to say hi and introduce myself and what not and when I check my outbox they have read them but did not have the decency to give me a reply! I mean this is a site to get in touch amd meet new ppl how on earth am i gonna do that when i am getting ignored!

Anyway just wanted to post my wee rant!

Same happens to me, amigo. I put much effort in filling out my profile in the most compleat and sincere manner possible, I write ppl messages that go beyond "lets meet for a shag" and the señoritas seem to read em and my inbox keeps showing "0/0". I thought it could be some error of the programm and allready wanted to complain, but now that you're telling about the same prob. it seems its the feminine world that doesn't understand the purpouse of this page.

Seems they only use this page to seek an ego-boost and read how pretty they are.

Just keep on telling even the ugliest that she'd be a princess!

What kind of things are you putting in the emails guys? I get about a 50% reply rate, mainly because I ask them something about their profile, and not just tell them how pretty they are (They are all pretty obviously

From a Womans perspective, i get alot of Men who email me with "hi" or "your sexy" and to me that does not even permit a response, Yes sometimes i get really nice long messages too, but when i click on their profile and they are not what i am looking for i am not going to reply - as i am sure men do the same, i have been ignored too. It is just how it goes on websites like these until you find your match.

Dont get too bothered about it, obviously that person is not meant for you, just keep looking.

i find a bit of humour and being yourself goes a long way, i send msg's when im tired i dont get responses. dont try too hard and send things you would want to read

You must be very good, if I message 10 women I might manage a single reply. I either try to be funny or ask something about them from their profile.
Occaisionaly I do get depressed by the lack of a responce (girls even a "go away is better than nothing and I will respect that if any of you do say so) to my attempts, so on a few I've have been a bit off.
Mind you I am getting a feel for who will reply and who will not, and knowing its hopeless I do go off the rails, with "don't reply or your machine will blow up" and other such nonseense.

People who have the same grumble as i do! I don't think it is ignorance more like rudeness! This only bugs me when profiles list that they dislike rudeness!
I have been back on the site for 3 months and my outbox is 16 (2 unread) my inbox 15 but not forgetting that this includes a chat with a friend

they say ignorance is bliss, how much i would give to be an idiot sometimes. But no, i sit here thinking far too much about life, the universe and everything (thanks to douglas adams RIP) and how the state of the government and the economical crisis as i sigh to myself as we are being run by a party full of ignoramus malcontents.

Never underestimate stupid people in large groups... if there are 5-8 people with an IQ of 90-100.. be wary.. they can actually strike something up between them...eventually.

Why is it ignorant if you do not reply on a dating site? After all its not 'find a new friend site' so why if you dont think you are going to have anything in common or could see yourself maybe ever meeting for a 'date', would you reply

So what your saying you would rather everyone reply with 'hi, thanks but no thanks' would that not make you feel even more insecure.

The clue is in the title folks 'flirtbox' if you dont want to flirt, then dont. That isn't rude or ignorant, just honest
