Home >> Advice >> I think I am Getting old........

There is no other explanation for it I must be getting old, every time I go flicking through the profiles on this site, the one question that keeps popping into my mind is Why the fuck would a good looking girl like that want to stick all that shit in her face?

In case you don't know what I am talking about,I mean peircings, I would like to think I can connect with most people, young and old, but I can't comprehend why someone would do it! Some of these girls are REAL good looking too, it isn't just the bush-pigs.

I have seen Pulp Fiction too, but that wouldn't attract me to someone with a peirced tongue!

Pierced tongues look painful.... i'd never ever get one!
Peope just like different things.. some like piercings , some don't.
I think nose piercings look horrible, i mean what happens when you get a nosebleed??
Don't think age matters Smile
some people just get piercings cos they think it'll give them more individuality etc
errm personally i don't want any piercings other than ears thanks

yea I wouldn't get pierced either. I don't even have my ears pierced and that sux, coz I got this lovely gift recently - 8 ball earrings which I'd love to wear...
However I had a nasty experience, cause I did have pierced ears at once... I dropped an earring and when we found it, my family tried to put it back in my ear and they didn't notice someone stepped on the earring and it got broken so it wouldn't go in right. So they kept on tryin to put it in and it hurt like hell and that's when I stopped wearin' earrings.
Anyways... Piercings are hard to take care off... YOu gotta be really careful with the hygiene around it and all other stuff... Bla bla... whatever. I don't like piercings. But I'd gladly get a tattoo *not on my face though Laughing* if I weren't so scared of needles and disease. Very Happy

I've got a tattoo, and a fear of needles, it took a couple cans of special brew to build up the courage to have it done.
The tattoo is not your standard thing, but it kind of runs in line with my personality, and I was young and half pissed when I had it done.
Thinking of having another one done of my ex with an axe through her head........

Given the choice probably number 4, but not really likely to happen for two reasons:-

1) - Fear of needles and I don't drink any more
2) - I would like to have sex at least once more in my lifetime.

Sex doesn't care bout tattoos. Very Happy Except for the fear that the one who's got the tattoo might also have some other disease his fellow prisoner who made the tattoo gave him. Twisted Evil

No seriously, there are much more important things than tattoos which would make someone decide to sleep or not to sleep with you. And anyways... Where there's a Kermit, there can always be a piece of sheep, ye? Very Happy

I just don't see the point of it, perhaps it is a rebellious thing mainly for the younger 18-25 types.
Something along the lines of "hey I'm pretty hot looking, I'm gonna staple a load of metal to my face and that'll piss daddy off"

Not to mention get you all sorts of grief at customs...........

No problem with piercings meself, not really the sort of thing I'd have done though, no jewelry for me except a watch, too much hassle.

Got a tattoo done though, just needs upkeep for a couple of weeks and then you don't have to worry about it. Perfect for a lazy sod like meself.

My eldest son has gotten a stud stuck through his lip - why?? it makes me feel ill - his girlfriend had a ruddy gert bolt thing through the middle of her tongue and she's never spoken properly since. I just dont understand the point I dont even think it looks nice.
The worse I saw was a young girl had these things that looked like metal ear buds shoved through the backs of her forearms like someone from the Angel family in judge dredd - yeuwch!
I dont understand this Body and Face Furniture, it doesn't look nice, why do it?
I dont' know if its a case of "getting old" as you put it - when I was a lass the punks who did that sort of thing in the 70s were laughed at then, so what's changed?
