Right guys and girlies

As some of you know im trying to learn how to play guitar. Wondering if any of you guitar playing peeps have any advice for me???

Right not i just want to be able to play one ickle song but done know what would be the easiest etc?? Someone suggested Wonderwall by Oasis but im not sure

Thanks Kev...I knew there was a post there somewhere but couldnt remember where. Seems to be more for people who can actually play though!! Im a complete beginner who is just trying to get her head round all the chords and stuff at the mo Laughing

Hey Cazza!
Im learning guitar too! Always summat i wanted 2 do!
If your teaching yourself, best just to start learning basic chord shapes, your a,b,c,d,e,f then once u know them, u can take it to the next level and put them into a tune, at the mo, i have just learnt "marigold" by Dave Grohl from the Foo fighters, its really easy, about 4 different chords, but when put with lyrics, sounds really nice. Many of the best songs are written with just a few chords, so its worth just getting the basic shapes learnt ok?

Cool, I've always wanted to learn as well. I've got a program on here somewhere which plays chords and tells you how to do them yourself, or something. You can tell I've used it often. Wink
And I also scanned in a book on learning to play as well. I made a pdf out of it.

I may have lost everything when I re-installed windows on this computer some time last year. But I'll see if I cna find any of it later.

can you read music or are you using tabs?

i was hoping i would be a rock star too.. i started playing bass about a year ago.. and ive had a few offers joining my mates bands but im crap at it...

bass is easier, when i picked it up a played a song within about 10 mins..
but my hands are small just have trouble reaching and stretching ...

guitar hero is wicked, i bought it for my sister and i really want one.. so fingers crossed for my birthday i might get one
