well usually if i meet someone and have a snog or two and get a number i would text the next day so he doesnt think it was a drunken thing... normally would say somethin along the lines of, had a good time last night, maybe we can meet up again.... and then the ball is in his court... if he's interested he will text you back saying he would like to and if he aint he wont. dont lose too much sleep over it tho... if its meant to be it will be.

Well we have each others numbers in this case and i have been told by numerous friends not to text/call him first as he said he would text me soon. I was jus wondering how long guys usually leave it till they get in touch, getting hard not to text him tho, really wana send him a message but at the same time i dont want him 2 think im really in to him. I have had really bad luck in the past with guys so i dont wana mess this one up.

there are no rules to dating lol... best you can do is try to be prepared for all outcomes... tell me, was it him or your mates who said not to text him first? did he tell you that? i dont think he did. so therefore there aint nothin stoppin you texting him to say somethin like hiya what did you do for the day... i did this n that n the other and im just getting the chance to sit down n relax now... then it doesnt look "desperate" or like you're really into him... its just a text enquiring as to what he has been at. keep your head and remember... if he likes you well enough he'll be delighted to hear from you.. maybe he's feeling a little shy and doesnt know how to start off a conversation... men are allowed to be shy too lol. hey, maybe he doesnt want to seem "too into you" either.

No your right wasnt him who said not to text, and i think you might be right again, he may be a little shy, think i will wait till 2moro to text him if i dont get a message from him first?

well id text the next day something along the same lines as purrfect said and if i got a reply id see if it was ok to phone them..not into all these 'dont text him/her first' games..lifes to short...go for it

but i will say that 1txt is enough. i can't stand it when i'm in a meeting or somewhere my phone isn't 7 i come back to like 10msgs, which get weirder each 1.

yeah i tend to send one or two msgs and if i get no reply they get no more thought.

Thanks for all the advice guys, i will text 2moro if i dont hear anything. I spoke to one of his mates who said that this guy is gona phone me and its all good so fingers crossed. I will let you know how it all goes!

He could be thinking that your texting him. He will text back if hes intrested. I usually text like that night or the day after, but im a text whore!

A lot of blokes are just not into texting and so he might be waiting til he feels the time is right to give you a call. Agree with the others though, if he doesn't make contact then just txt and see what happens.

Ok so i texted him, jus general stuff like, hi hows you, how was the wedding you had on sat etc etc...he texted back woohoo. Said he lost his phone at wedding and jus got it back last night and other general stuff had a at the end of it. i know he might not have lost his phone and he needed an excuse for not texting me, but i dont care. Its prob downhill from here, usually is with me and blokes. Anyway will let you know if he texts me anything else xx

fraid im pretty negative when it comes to guys being interested in me, that way when they arnt interested im semi prepared. Still waitin for a text from him arghhhh, i wana see him soon xxx
