well the northwest is superb..

Chester (roman town)

Liverpool (city of culture, docks)

Manchester (awesome)

then you're only 1hr 30 mins from the glaciated landscapes of the Lake District.

its all culture and nature in the northwest mate (plus it wont cost you like £40 a pint like it does in london)

Yorkshire, Yorkshire uber alles.

You have some great coastlines; the Yorkshire Moors; the Yorkshire Dales; the best beer on god's earth; obv York itself and if you like you industial history you have bradford (with good curry - traditional english ya'kno) and shopping you have Leeds.

All that and never needing to put up with Lancastrians, scousers, mancs or scallies Wink

lol,

Chester(Roman) is lovelly so is Bath(Roman) and East Cantebury, York, Edinburgh. Manchester is great fun (not to cultural though). Cumbria is amazing !!

Newcastle is cool and so is Liverpool. London has some great history and is definately worth a visit (ignore the dude from Cheshire). Make sure you see Stone henge in Salisbury and while you there see Southampton and maybe even a trip to Poole (khorf Castle). Bropadstairs is the home to our very own Charles Dickens and is a lovelly town. Loads of history there.

you have loads to see and do in the UK / England. Scotland is a real Gem and so is Ireland. Enjoy!!

Hey! You gotta visit Edinburgh,

It is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The architecture within the city is a must as its mindblowingly gorgeous. To savour this take a ghost tour, you'll love the history behind the city. We possess one of the friendliest population ever, you'll learn this in one of the many pubs and bars!!

If you are only gonna visit for a few weeks, do it during the end of August. This is when the Festival (worlds best comedians, street acts, plays, theatre) is winding down. By coming in the last week of August you will witness one of the best firework displays ever witnessed up against the stunning backdrop of Edinburgh castle. Quite stunning! This is to celebrate the closing of the festival.

Oh, and also visit during Hogmanay (New Year) when half of Edinburghs population congregates in one street, Princess Street, for one hell of a party! They also do another fire work display during this time.

Enjoy your travelling, take care!

Some other vital places, visit the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, especially the island of Skye and the Outer Herbean Islands off the north east coast of Scotland. The beaches here are almost like the caribbean in that they have white sand but have bloody freezing water. You'll be able to do seal and dolphin watching here. Skye has fantastic climbing opportunities whereas Lewis boasts having the oldest standing stones (older than Stonehendge) called the Callanish.

Visit Loch Ness near Inverness to see if you can catch a glimpse of the monster. Whatever you do, dont miss going to visit Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness. Most ppl will be familiar with it being in Highlander the film with Sir Sean "James Bond" Connery.
