You need to learn how to project confidence coz you come across as a bit paranoid. These dating sites (or any communication website) arnt an instant thing, sometimes you might not get any replies/messages for ages and sometimes you will get 10 in one night but whatever happens be consistent.

You'll usually find in most forums like this certain people are good at projecting who they are into their posts or messages. Look at some of the posts from me, danni82, flowerangelaura (there are many more examples but too numerous to list) and you will see that they manage to project their character into what they are typing. This is what you need to do coz at the moment you all your posts make you seem a bit insecure.

Try sending some messages after you have been out for a few drinks and are a bit more uninhibited. Put some rockin tunes on in, strut around a bit in your best clothes and then mail some chick that catches your eye

You need to like yourself before other people can like you.

Ok, now i'm quite worried about how people are seeing me.

Just to say I know what your going through. I'm a painfully shy person and very self conscious. There is some great advice here I often miss out because I try to hard or just don't try at all. I'm very bad at recognising opportunities.
One thing that keeps me going is telling myself "if it's meant to happen it will."

Oh and by the way to Flowerangelaura you have nothing to worry about.

Chilling is the key to alot in life, having a relaxed, stimulated and confident mind is the key.

Keep active, have a hobby, go to the gym (you might even hook up there hehe).

Yoga is a good way to meet the ladies Wink...make sure you stand at the back, you get a nice view there.

You'll also tone up a bit, and if you meet a porn star you'll be flexable enough to do those all important moves.

you know the best way to attract woman is not to try. if you go to a pub and you see a cute girl dont even think twice and just enjoy the time with your guys and dont even worry about it.give a glance or two through the night and odds are she will wonder why your not trying to pick her up and come over. i dont know if this works for everyone but it has worked for me.

I totally agree. I have been adamant on certain nights out that I wanna get drunk, and that I aint interested in pulling. I always ended up meeting some guy and . . . well, you know. If I wanted to go on the pull, it would be guarunteed that I would end up a drunken mess and go home alone lol

Hi wyche85, XQueenofScotsX & Number45.

wyche85's initial posting got my attention.
Number45's posting really grabbed my attention.
Finally, XQueenofScotsX's tied my attention to a chair with strong rope!

I find wyche85's initial posting understandable.
I identify with some of Number45's experiences.
And like XQueenofScotsX, I was diagnosed with manic depression.
My condition really kicked in 9 years ago.

I'm not so bad now, but still feel very alienated, unloved, hated, rejected.
I even get an eerie feeling I'm not welcome on flirtbox.

Wouldn't surprise me if it were true.

I wish people would realise suicide is spelt SUICIDE not SUISIDE. Sorry, I really hope those with such thoughts find help but I could not help but correct bad spelling on such an important forum.

Also, I really cannot help it, I went to a girls grammar school and my English teacher Miss Henwood always said to me, "Jayne, you are such a pretty little girl, but if you don't learn to spell correctly your career phrase will be 'would you like fries with that.' No offense to anyone who works in such a place, but since then I just get a bee in my bonnet about spelling, and yes soon I will slip and make a mistake on here and everyone can point it out to me and say you silllly biotch lol.

I'm a spelling bitch, but not so much recently.

When i'm having a conversation with people on the phone or whatever, i'm forever correcting their English.
Or if they ask me to check a document, i can always find a mistake!

I didn't say it to be mean or anything, because i definately see where you're coming from on this.

Been there, done that got the t-shirt.

Last year i was a mess, on anti-depressants, and all sorts of shit, really messed up, and missed half of my uni year because of it. Ended up writing off a car into a wood i was that adament that i really didn't want to be here.

Now i view that as fortunate, i went into the wood at about 50 and just let go of the steering wheel. Hit a tree and woke up in hospital. If anything it has made me realise what i have and what i could have lost.

Suicide is really not an answer to anything, and despite the comeback i might have from saying this, it needs to be said. Suicide is a wimps way out. If you really want to sort things out, not that it sounds like you need much sorting, then go to a councilling session and get some advice, just if it's someone to listen to you. Things will become clearer.

I think SEG has a point, the topic is important and its a good start to spell it right ... its Suiside, seems like it demeans the subject (unintentionally)and turns into a joke. I just seen it now, and thought it was a prank written like that on purpose...and since it runs into 2 pages ppl are having fun, lets see ... lol.

We all make mistakes but it can be edited by the OP, very easily.

However this is a dating site, and it might not be the most appropriate place to talk about Suicide, or ask for help on a such cardinal problem. Folks can feel desp... , depr... , ect. unhappy etc... ext... but Suicide?? hmm - I think suicidal thoughts are a major issue - and supposing the dude was really serious- he needs more qualified help than we can possible give in here.

Still...wyche85, I seen the other topic about the girl you didnt gel with... and can only say be more selctive, forget things that make you unhappy. There are many things in life that dont have the importance some of us place or project onto them at a given time.
Everything is relative, go with the flow, chill out, nothing is more important than you, be happy and positive. it`ll get better for sure.
