I went back to study at 25, I'd re-written my matric (equivalent to your O or A levels I think) so that I could get into Medicine. Then a genetics professor suggested that I study something else that didn't require quite as much energy - so I chose Chemistry instead.
I was really pleased that I'd gone back to study and I did really well, got offered bursaries to carry on with my studies by 4 different companies - chose one that paid me a salary even while I was studying - how cool was that!
When I first went to study at uni straight after school, I majored in Partying, if they'd given marks for it, I'd have got an upper 1st - but sadly the rest of my marks didn't come up to standard!
I think it's better that you take a break and study when you're a bit more mature - my niece did some work and travel (gap year) before she started studying and she's doing really well at uni now.

It's odd when you do go back to school, as you all find your uniform is 2 sizes too small and way too tight and revealing, which is bad for the lads in the trouser-ass and blazer chest departments, but also great for the lads when they view the girls attire!
