i have feelings for my ex girl and recently we got talking again she said she missed talking to me and at one point for the first time ever complimented me on my looks{i guess she liked my personality more then my looks when i was her boyfriend} and when i flirt she flirts back does she like me or is this just friend to friend jokey flirting?

i mean i am willing to find someone else but i find this a hard thing meeting new people i prefer to date people i already know

it's a thin line to cross.you got to crossover in your head is she a friend or you want a relationship back with her. and what broke the relationship up. i can only go by personal experience. my x partner. i get on ok with. but i filed her in my head that just treat her as a friend.. and never flirt or anything that gives the wrong idear in her head...and it works . but we have a daughter but it works good for her sake... but you have to keep to it and it dosent confuse things. tom tom

Something broke you two up so the love bond wasn't strong enough to last in the beginning, it's hardly likely to even be as strong as it was before if you try again. Breaking up is hard and to do it over and over is just plain dumb but that's often what happens.

Trust is a very special thing and not given lightly, your first move is to entrust each other with your feelings. Breaking up is an abuse of that trust and when someone does that, there is always an element of doubt next time.

thanks for the advice so far i think we broke up cause she isn't ready or wasn't ready for a serious relationship yet after too much hurt :/
