I am in such a pissed off mood today... Evil or Very Mad

I had this dream last night, and I dreamt about someone inparticular.

It wasn't a nice dream at all, in fact it has put me in the worst mood I have been in all year.

What I am wondering is if it normal to have such strong feelings about someone after waking up, cos the way I feel right now is that if I bump into them today, I am liable to see red and fly at them.

I am actually quite a level headed guy really and I do know that isn't at all logical behaviour, but I can feel it simmering away in the back of my head.

It strikes me as borderline schizophrenic behaviour.....

Have you shrugged it off yet? Funny that, years ago I had a huge fight with my husband in a dream, the next morning I hated him and the poor guy didnt know what he'd done wrong!
I used to do dream therapy with clients when I was a psychotherapist, but thats not to say I can interpret dreams, just talking to someone can sort it out in your own head sometimes, ya know?
Do you have issues with this person in real life?
Sometimes a female in a dream can represent your mother, a male your father...but, either male or female can represent yourself.
The unconcious is a funny thing, sometimes dreams mean bugger all, just the mind playing while you sleep, other times its your mind playing out what you fear, wish for, or are confused by, in wake-time.
Hope you feel more settled now, if it still bothers you try to write down what you remember, what bothers you about it, how you feel about things that happened in the dream and how you would have handled things differently in 'real life'.
That can help. And yes it's normal, just thank goodness not frequently happening! Very Happy

I have calmed down now.

I have been like a bear with a sore head all day though.....bugger....

This morning I was really pissed, but as the day went on the feelings faded (slowly!)......

All bad dreams I have had about my wife have come true so far apart from one.
I do not want that one to come true.
I wake to find her lunging at me with a knife, realising I am dreaming I wake to find her lunging at me with a knife. This happened half a dozen times before I properly woke myself shaking and dripping in sweat.
Not nice at all.

I 'cured' my flying dreams by doing it for real, well the next best thing - The Vampire at Chessington world of adventure! Woohoo!
I've been interested in astral projection for about 30 years, the best I can 'control' is shifting my weight a few feet.
(I am still in two minds as to whether it's paranormal or simple psychology though).

Total silence. Or at least, a quiet room with no interference (street noise etc. is fine).

Snaithman - a few nights ago I had a dream about being chased by a miniature rhino, each time it got me with its horn I woke up, then it chased me round my house again, the I woke again......etc. etc. When I finally really did wake I was exhausted!
I hate those dreams when you keep 'waking' and the nightmare continues!

I find that dreams don't really mean anything. I've tried looking into their meaning and could never come up with anything that really relates to real life.

However, I do also find that a happy dream will cheer me up and vise versa.

If it's a bad one, I just keep telling myself "it's only a dream" and try not to bite anyone's head off.

Dreams are just the thoughts of your subconscious. You cannot remember your REM (rapid eye movement)dreams. As well if you come across any similar incident after that, your brain will remind you of something you've experienced before. Its wonderful.

Sorry, that's wrong. REM sleep dreams are very vivid, especially if you wake up suddenly in REM sleep.

Wow. I teased that this thread was dead and my dreams thread was better and more popular, but Megs has had the last laugh. Where is my thread? Lost in the ether.

I have lots of pretentious arty dreams.
