If you love 2 or even 3 things/people/etc exactly the same amount and they're all equally good for you, but in the end you have to choose one, how do you choose?
Better yet, how do you choose when your heart doesn't just pick one of them and keeps on sayin' you love them both.

Any ideas?

Pretty stupid, I know... But I just wanted to post this.

That is the toughest question I've ever heard, no matter who/what you pick, you'll always harbour a little regret over not picking the other.
If you are talking about people, then it is even tougher cos it's a real big decision!
Now you can say, thanks for not helping in any way what-so-ever!

Sad

They might all be good for you, but you should choose the one that will better enhance your life.

PS Hope you don't mind, I moved this to the Advice forum, seems a bit more appropriate

I think Darkhorse has probably got it right there.

The greatest risk I forsee, is having to chooce between what you think is good for you and what you think will work with you best.

I had to make a similar decision recently, so (based on my own experience) and in addition to my advice above, I would also suggest being honest with yourself and thinking of the other 'things' and how best your decison will affect those things. For example, if the 'things' are 3 people, which one one those 3 people will benefit most from your decison as well. Making a decision based only on ones own desires in such a situation can often turn out to be a selfish act motivated by a desire to do the best for oneself, rather than for both concerned.

There is too much selfishness in the world today........no doubt most people would advise you to do what is best for yourself, your own life and your own circumstances, and they have a point; my own advice is to balance that *with* what is best for each of the 3 'things' involved as well, if that all makes sense?

This might be the best advice, although I always go for the opposite of the upside.

If you think you love two people, the best thing to do is stay away from them both and see which one you miss the most.

But what if those two people fulfill very separate needs, and neither would be sufficient by themselves?

Yeah, I know........ditch both and find one who does both!

you could always just make it logical - set up a scoring system for positive attributes vs negative traits and mark them up! see which comes out on top.

The problem with love is that it is an all encompassing word. There are different types of love. the love for your children, your pets(some people love cats...not sure i understand that one!) sorry cat lovers!! Love for your parents, partner/s etc

Don't get me wrong I would never cheat on someone I was seeing and honesty is always the best policy!

If anyone can give a defintive definition to the word i would be well interested. So really I am not being very helpful am I?

NEVER, and I mean NEVER apologise to cat lovers, it is their own fault, they could have got a dog, but they didn't, they chose an ignorant animal, over man's best friend.

Shame on them!............
