We both go to bed as soon as we get back in from work ! (to sleep) well anyway a girl at his work place asked if he could take her to see a cat (which i dont mind) well anyway before i knew all this i asked him to take me to my aunties ! He said yes i said promise so he did ! Well then about an hour later he got a text off this girl then she called him he walked out of the room so i couldnt here him ! Well anyway he came back in and sat there and i said shall we go now he said no ! So i said why he said im taking this girl to see a cat ! I said well tell her you have plans he said i made a promise ! And i said well you made me one ! And he said i will take you when i get back ! Well the whole idea of this is should i read to much into it ? Ive even cried because i felt she means more to him than me ! And he said im making a big deal out of nothing ! Would you say i am ? Please a lil advice wont go a miss ! Sorry if its confused you

The question is whom your boyfriend arranged a precise time first, although you should definitely be first thing on his priority list

Well if it were me i would hope that he would have said to this girl "I'll have to see if my girlfriend has any plans for us as its our day off together".

I must admit, without trying to make you feel too bad, i'd be mighty pissed off if he went out of the room to talk to anyone let alone another girl!

Not sure if that's helped much Confused

Nice to see you again Babygirl

I'm with Bex on this one!

Did you ask him why he went out the room to speak?

She needs a better explanation from him and to listen, that is the key.

If you listen properly you will know.

What I really want to know is, what kind of cat it was?

I thought I'd put forward another view, from a different angle - I have to admit that I also sometimes talk on the phone in another room (even other women, my ex partner being an example), for practical reasons – the room I am in might be too noisy (TV, girlfriend chattering like a monkey, etc – not that Miss Cork Legs chatters like a monkey, of course, just using it as an example!!). I hate to sound mean, but from reading the OP I’m guessing that it wouldn’t have made any difference which room he had spoken to the other women in, it sounds more like an insecurity and jealously issue than anything else, which also needs to be talked about.

Additionally, since you asked for advice, people stop asking others to ‘promise’ them something around the time they move from primary to secondary school. Whether or not you take the advice is up to you.

Whilst you should indeed figure highly in your boyfriends life and take priority, he is also entitled to his own life and circle of friends, whether male or female, and I think you should encourage him to do so, rather than whine at him for ‘letting you down’ on your mutual day off – I’m sorry, but that reeks of selfishness, and I’d say the same if it was the other way around.

u have to be very careful with this one.

I'm in a similar situation but with my mum and her relationship with my dad. Shes doing similar things by phoning, and hiding the garage answering some calls. But again, i know because i'm convinced shes doing something behind his back and purposly trrying to find something to back my mind up! so if u have to make sure u kno before u confront him..

It can be one of the most heartbreakin feelings when you know your partner doesn't trust you, so just be careful x

Yup that's what I was going to say. If you need him to promise every time you ask him to do some thing then your already showing him you have no trust in him. If that's true, then that's your problem.

He has cheated on me in the past ! thats why we make 'promises' and when he broke that promise it broke my heart ! Like she means more ! We had this out last night when he got home after midnight ! Smelling of another woman !

So shoot me if im wrong ! I did indeed have something to worry about because last night he did indeed cheat ! So im sorry that i asked you for advice maybe next time i shall let him cheat on me anytime he wants !

If you must know he admitted to sleeping with this girl when he went out ! So please dont humor me !

And to the rest of you that spoke sence THANK YOU

Well if you'd said that in the first place... Rolling Eyes

Present him with a reasonable ultimatum and if he doesn't comply dump him. Was the the answer you wanted?
