I do sympathise with you as i have to take tabs as well (not contraceptives tho Laughing )

One of my ex's had a similiar problem to you and i believe it was she was too sensitive to the hormones in the tabs. The doc told her to have a coil mirena was it? That did the trick plus her periods got much lighter too. I know her emotions were so much better than when she was on the pill. Sorry if it's not the same thing as you're going thru but thought i'd mention it just in case!

Take care of yourself and go to your docs if you have trouble. Sometimes it's a case of trying loads of different one's before you find the right contraceptive.

Carly,

I cannot help you with all the other meds but I have been through the same with the pill - I even had a phnatom pregnancy with it. They had me on dosage so low that basically I just had to pray I would not get pregnant and even that made me loony tunes!

10 years after I came off it, I found out it was because of my oestrogen levels when I went private!

Ask your doc to do an oestrogen test on you, your levels (either too high or too low) will effect your response to the pill.

I know nothing Carly. I sympathise with your problem tho' and hope things get sorted sooner rather than later.

Follow the words of the wise old woman above, for she has much wisdom and knowledge (and bags o' money to go private! Wink *runs*)

Just to throw a spanner in the works here, nearly all private samples are sent to NHS labs for analysis, they are carried out by NHS staff, who just do extra work after hours to run through private samples. Its a bit cheeky really because private patients think they are having their work done privately but its almost always contracted out into NHS labs. The way it works is that both types of samples (NHS & Private) arrive in the lab, but the NHS work is always done first and then the private work gets done after NHS hours (or sometimes early in the morning before NHS hours start), but the docs will report the slides in order of urgency and that diagnosis will be shipped out again in order of urgency.

Also, just a thought, if anyone wants to know anything about the drugs they are on, I have an up to date BNF sat in front of me Smile

I don't think it matters that it's the NHS thats doing it. They are as good as any nurses/lab techs/docs... etc, it's the fact that paying will get you sorted quicker.

GG I know all that, but the Gynie spotted that there was a problem and then did the tests which is something that the NHS never bothered with!

And Tracy ..... missus ....... £65 to have your MOT and results back in 10 days rather than 12 weeks which is the london waiting time at the moment for routine girls things (girls - you know what I mean - the 3 yearly embarrassment) has gotta be money well worth spent, you want rich talk to the property magnate on here ROFL

I suffer with low blood pressure too, fancy that Wink Well i had to change a medication in the past as my low blood pressure was making me faint alot with the tabs so that might be why you suffer sickness. Just make sure you don't rush to get up or say if you're kneeling down whatever the reason why Wink make sure you don't get up too quickly. I often feel faint and have passed out even when i've done that. Hope that helps!
